This is a series of Yoga for Beginners. Today we are working the side body and intercostals. Nahid will take you through a great work-out for the side body, with twists and side reaches to open up those muscles and lengthen through the ribs and spine. Elongating the intercostals helps to release tension through the ribs and chest and strengthen the obliques. It’s an ideal pose to energise the body and improve the respiratory system while stretching out the spine.
